Injuries and Conditions
The ankle and foot are susceptible to multiple injuries and inflammatory conditions that are amenable to diagnostic and therapeutic injection. These injuries can affect the plantar fascia, ankle joint, tarsal tunnel, interdigital space, tendinopathies of the foot and ankle, (inflammation of ligaments and tendons), and first metatarsophalangeal joint.
Foot and ankle issues are usually treated with rest, NSAIS’s, acetaminophen and later with physical therapy.
