What is a Muscle Strain?
Also known as pulled muscle, it is a condition caused by tearing or overstretching the muscle fibers, the strain most commonly affect the lower back or the hamstring, but it can happen in any muscle of the human body.
Pulled muscles are common and can result from exercise or simply doing household chores, such as cleaning, moping or lifting heavy objects. This happens by forcing a muscle that is not often used, lifting a heavy weight without preparing the body for it beforehand (warming up), or by using a muscle repetitively (as many sports players do).
